SCP-3324-1実例は2つの分岐した記憶 — 1つは過去18日間にわたって腎臓結石に苦しんだもの (現在のタイムライン)、もう一つはそうでないもの (以前のタイムライン) — を保持します。場合によっては、他の人物もこの2通りの記憶を保持します。SCP-3324-1実例を除くどの人物が複数の記憶を得るかを決定する基準は、仮に存在するとしても、十全には理解できていません。しかし、任意の人物が2通りの記憶を得る尤度は、過去18日間でSCP-3324-1実例と交流した頻度に凡そ比例すると判明しています。

SCP-3324-1実例の生活において発生した全体的な出来事は、現在および以前のタイムラインで一様に酷似しています。以前のタイムラインにおけるSCP-3324-1実例の活動が比較的些末であった場合、最も影響力の強い腎臓結石の症状 (特に激しい腰痛発作といったもの) が現れます。このことから、SCP-3324は何らかの方法でタイムラインに及ぶ影響を最小限に抑制しているものと理論付けられています。

SCP-3324-2実例による予定時刻でのSCP-3324実例への排尿ならびに腎臓結石の排出を妨害することは不可能です。これを妨害しうる行動は周囲の状況によって何らかのかたちで阻止されます。これはSCP-3324がタイムパラドックス — SCP-3324-2実例が結石をSCP-3324に排出しなければ、最初に当人に結石を与える逆行因子が存在しえない — を回避するために因果律を操作した結果であると考えられています。SCP-3324によって回避される試みの例として、腎臓結石の外科的除去や、予定日中の別部屋への監禁、SCP-3324実例の殺害が挙げられます。
